Status Report for the Week of October 19
Group 1: Presented an optical encoder template that uses six bits. Waiting for the specs on the IR emitter/sensor device to finalize the template.
Group 2: Nothing new reported. Group 1 requested a voltage vs. force graph.
Group 7: Reported status of the various subroutines. Will be using floating point math for the PID control equation implementation.
Project Coordinator's Assessment for the Week of October 19:
With less than one week left before the project should be completed, I gave the specifications for the pendulum and mass.
Things left to do:
finalize the template for, build, and install the optical encoder
build the PIC circuit
finish the control program
